Celebrating National Manufacturing Day with Make UK

In collaboration with Make UK, we partnered up with Imageco to celebrate National Manufacturing Day! By hosting teenagers from two Leeds-based education centres, we aimed to inspire the next generation of manufacturers with an exciting day packed with activities.  Read on to find out what we got up to!

Who are Make UK?

Make UK is an institution that champions and celebrates British manufacturing and manufacturers, with the aim of building a platform for the evolution of the UK’s industry. As part of their commitment to the next generation of manufacturers, Make UK facilitated the National Manufacturing Day 2023, an annual opportunity for British manufacturers to showcase all the strengths of their sectors and careers to the young talent here in the UK.  

Our Collaborators – Imageco

Imageco are one of the UK’s leading wide-format print and signage producers, delivering high-quality bespoke designs with their large sustainable print product portfolio. With a long-standing commitment to increasing opportunities within their sector, their involvement on the day marked the latest step in their 2023 recruitment drive.

Our Involvement in the National Manufacturing Day

As part of their involvement in Make UK’s National Manufacturing Day, the Imageco and Greyhound Box teams provided an engaging factory tour alongside a line-up of expert speakers for their budding guests. The C-suite team members even got involved, with Imageco’s very own Nathan Swinson-Bullough, giving an inspiring talk on his own experience within the sector:  

“I told them my personal story from Council estate kid blasting round on a Striker to the face of a global award-winning graphics and manufacturing company… My advice to them is work hard at what you do, and you never know where you might end up.”
